Golf on Jekyll Island is a naturally exciting experience.
Jekyll is Georgia's largest public golf resort with 63 holes
on three 18-hole courses and one 9-hole course, all designed
by some of the best names in the game. The Clubhouse offers
a full-service pro shop, rental carts and clubs, a restaurant
and lounge. A driving range, putting greens and a practice
bunker are nearby, with instruction available from PGA teaching
professionals.
Remodeled in the 1920s by Walter J. Travis, the historic
Oceanside 9 is an authentic links course with elevated tees,
small greens and prevailing ocean breezes. Some of the holes
on Oceanside were part of the original course laid out in
1898.
Demanding and picturesque, Dick Wilson's Oleander design
is consistently ranked among the state's best courses. Pine
Lakes, another Wilson design, is the longest and tightest
layout on Jekyll. Tree-lined fairways dogleg both left and
right as they wind through the Island's interior.
Joe Lee designed the Indian Mound course with wide fairways
and large, sloping greens. Cut through woods and beautiful
lakes, the layout showcases Jekyll's spectacular scenery.
